Dan Elswick is on the show! He and Nick talk about mentors, passion projects, and shitty diet ginger beer. The episode also showcases two kickass trailers from Dan's upcoming documentary about the hardcore band "Bane."
Dan Elswick moved to Los Angeles from Denver in 2007, In hopes of finding some direction for his life. He worked as a production assistant on a couple of reality shows, and quickly began learning about cameras, lighting, and anything else he could use to further his career. He joined the camera union in 2011, and started getting opportunities to shoot while working as a camera assistant on The Biggest Loser and MasterChef. Adding to his long list of passions, Dan also cares deeply about music—especially the hardcore band "Bane." In 2015, when Bane announced their final tour, he decided to hit the road with them to shoot and direct "Holding These Moments", a full length documentary about the band, their fanbase, and their last tour.
